Let’s join Dee and Kala in the phonics garden and learn all about /x/. This is the letter X, it makes the sound /x/. This is a capital /X/ and this is a lower case /x/. They both make the /x/ sound like in x-ray, taxi and flex! Let's practise the /x/ sound with Kala! " /X/, /x/!" Can you spy anything in the garden that has the /x/ sound? "There's a t-rex, that has the /x/ sound!" Is there anything else in the garden with a /x/ in it? "There's the number six, that also has the /x/ sound!" Uh-oh! /X/ is hiding with the other letters! Can you help find /x/ in the alphabet? Point to the letter when you find it! Did you also point here? You did some great work in the phonics garden! Today we learnt all about /x/, we listened to and made the /x/ sound! We found words that have a /x/ in them and found it in the alphabet! Interested in a challenge?
