Razzi says get these items ready because today we're going to practise converting inches and feet. It's time to begin! How many feet are in twenty-four inches? Pause the video to work on the problem and press play when you are ready to see the solution! Since one foot is equal to twelve inches, we divide twenty-four by twelve which is two feet!     Hints

    Remember that 1 foot = 12 inches, so 2 feet will be two lots of twelve.

    One way to multiply by 12 is to multiply by 10 and 2.

    6 x 12 = ?
    6 x 10 = 60
    6 x 2 = 12
    60 + 12 = 72
    6 x 12 = 72 inches

    Use doubles when you can. Find the solution for 2 x 12 then double this for the solution to 4 x 12.

    • 2 feet = 24 inches because 2 x 12 = 24
    • 3 feet = 36 inches because 3 x 12 = 36
    • 4 feet = 48 inches because 4 x 12 = 48
    • 5 feet = 60 inches because 5 x 12 = 60
  • Convert inches to feet.

    Hints
